This season, the mood of the clothes was dark and depressing as the designer explored the dirty side of religion. Elaborately constructed wigs and headpieces (with religious monikers like oversized crosses) were the final touch for skimpy lace catsuits and fur accessories. "Each headpiece took about a month to construct," Le Mindu told us, "and we made them stand with air. There was no support for anything.""The headpieces are very amazing but also very crazy and we wanted to do the opposite of that with the makeup," Nishimura told us backstage. "It's a classic shape with a strong eyebrow, lots of mascara, pointy, glossy lips - beautiful but with quirky colours."GET THE LOOK - MAKEUP: Nishimura used lots of MAC products, especially the label's metallic shadows and colour cream base. "We used the cream base to get the colour intense," she explained. To recreate the amazing blue-green eye makeup at home, use a base first, then blue shadow blending out to green and then apply a metallic powder on top. "It's really easy, you just need to use a lot of colour," Nishimura says. To get the blue pout, just Weaving hair apply a lip pencil very thickly onto lips and then follow with gloss. Finally, for a gorgeous glitter effect on your décolletage and shoulders, have a friend sprinkle metallic powder onto a sheet of paper and then gently blow in the direction of your skin. GET THE LOOK - NAILS: Smith Hair weaving used Chinchilly by Essie nail varnish - a slate, granite grey with a hint of mushroom. "It's got a taupe vibe," she says. "We needed something not to overpower the hair and makeup, but for it still to be chic."
